Tire Suggestions

Have an 08C2S with Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tires (235/35ZR19 & 305/30ZR19) N-1. 15,000 miles currently with a reasonable amount of tread but have started getting noisy as h___. One thing I like is the handling seems to be pretty good and I really like the sidewall design.

I know that this is a pretty subjective issue but looking for suggestions. Also, car still has warranty so I need to stick with the "N" rating. I think Michelin are nice but overpriced so....

My experience is that the Rossos are pretty bad and really noisy. Surprised that you have 15k on the rears and still going.

I am now a firm Super Sports believer. Great in the wet, reasonable wear and quiet. And much cheaper than the Rossos.

Thanks for the link Uwon. Looks like the Super Sports got nice reviews. Since my car still has warranty, what type of problem will I encounter with Porsche since these tires are not "N" rated. The local independent shop told me N versus non N is all in the sidewall construction.

Super Sports are a great recommendation. Buy them from places like Tire Rack, and have them drop shipped to one of Tire Racks recommended installers in your area. The key is to have them dynamic road force balanced.

The Super Sports are great, put them on last summer after Pirelli's and PS2's. big improvement over both. Road force balance is gret if you need it. Mine balanced up fine with a standard balancing.

big fan of michelin. have had pirelli on both my 997 and f-150 as OE. replaced with michelin super sports for 997 and ltx m/s 2 on the truck and could not be happier. yes, a little more expensive. but the quality and durability more than make up for any price difference.

Go cheap...Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta. Dirt cheap and I guarantee you wont be able to notice a performance difference unless maybe you take it to a track. If you want a hard core performance tire, go Toyo, R888....RIP Toyo RA1, one of the best tires ever made. Wish they would bring them back in normal Porsche sizing.

Just read some reviews on the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta and quite a few people raved about them. Unfortunately they don't offer a 305/30 in a 19" tire that I have on the rear.

You dont have to run 305's, you can run 295's with no issue and you wont notice the difference at all. I ran 295's on a modified Turbo with 650hp and never had a problem with grip.
