I have a 2000 996 Cab with a bad LED display, does anyone know the part number to this component? This display has MPH, Temp, mpg etc.. and goes in the center of the cluster.

From Auto Atlanta - http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-parts/996-99-05/906-01.php

Seems only the entire instrument cluster is available. Might want to Google Porsche Instrument Cluster repair and see what turns up, or look into locating a used one.

As far as a simple DIY job goes you might be out of luck :( It looks like your problem is with the front "LCD" display not the back lit "incandecnt" globe (which is an easy fix). You'll have to send it out to get if fixxed.

 on Palo Alto Speedo. They are a lot closer to you than North Hollywood Speedo :)
