We're these screens (installed in the seat roll bars) an option on the 2000 Boxster, or were they standard? My car, bought used, does not have them and I'm wondering if it ever had them. I do have the center clear wind deflector.

Thx!

I don't know if they were standard equipment. I'd bet they were. My next guess is that they either fell out while driving or broke and weren't replaced because of their high price.

The screens are optional on European cars, i guess the same for US cars.

My car has them, but they are prone to falling out. I was lucky the first time not to be driving at highway speed. It landed on the retracted top and I was able to stop and retrieve before it fell off. Added some small tie wraps to retain them to the roll bar.

My 2001 just purchased came with one (driver side) stored in the front trunk.

Can't figure out how to install it.

Where can I get the right side?

Part Number 986-561-583-00-01C

WIND DEFLECTOR LEFT - List $150.37

Check Sunset probably a little cheaper. You can buy them used on Craigslist or eBay for about $150.00 a pair.

Thanks for the part number--I was previously unable to find these items in the parts DVD searching by option code.

Also, since posting I've discovered these screens apparently install from the rear rather than the front, so will try again (on the passenger side).

Anyone got the 2 windscreens for 01 Boxster. I left my top down in a lot and guess what, yep they evaporated.

Used scratched etc is fine.

Thanks
