High everyone,

I have been a happy 996 Turbo owner for about 7 months now. I am over on 6speedonline but heard great thingsd about htis site as well.

Anyway, I have been a Porsche fan since I was a kid. In fact the only poster I ever even had on my wall was a 911 Turbo that I cut out of a car magazine (would have been a 964 at that time). I used to go to sleep dreaming that when I wake up the car would miraculously be in the driveway. lolI have had a few sports cars over the years and recently finished building an LSx FD RX7.After 2 years of building it to exactly how I wanted it, it ended up being a toy that I only drove a couple of times a month (if that). Having the need to drive something fun on a daily basis in the summer had me shopping for another toy. So this summer I (by "I" I mean my wife) decided the time was right for me to get a car I have always lusted for. I was looking at 993, 996 and 997 Turbos. I ended up finding a low miles 996 and fell in love with it.2003 996 TT60,000 kms (37,300 miles)Slate Grey Metallic20" Mod WheelsRennline Race pedalsRennline Floor Pan

I have recently purchased a softronic tune, exhaust system and DV valves but since the car is in storage for the winter I have not tested it with the new mods. Can't wait to feel the extra power.

The car is nothing special compared to many of the rides here but here she is...

Thank you! A friend took the pics of the RX7 when it was completed. I hope to have him take some of the 911 this summer.

Welcome to the forum. I hope it serves you as well as myself and many others. Very nice turbo and mazda as well. Get out and enjoy driving them every chance you get. I know mine sits in the garage way too much.

Happy motoring

The non-Porsche content if this thread has been removed at the request of several members.

These forums are a place for Technical Porsche Discussion. The goal here is not to replace other Porsche boards but to offer folks a place where the content is primarily technical.

From the board Guidelines/Rules - "Please keep your posts on topic - Porsche's and Porsche related technical discussions - period. Non-Porsche related content will be removed."

Thanks for understanding.

Okay no problem. I figured since this was my intro thread I would throw my other toy in it so people can get to know me better but I undertsand you removing it if it went against the forum rules.

Cheers,

J

I just ordered a stage 3 Clutch Master fiber tough kit since I don't think the stock clutch would be up to the extra power. Man it's only the beginning of winter and I am already antsy to get it out of storage.
