996 C4 and C4S decklid size

Heya,

So i was wondering if anyone knew off hand if the decklid size for the C4 and C4S were the same size? I know the C4S is a widebody car, but I am not sure that would necessarily mean a change in the decklid size.

Any help would be much appreciated

Yes, they are different sizes.

Remember the C4S has the deflector below the lid.

The reflector was what I was hoping to gain. I saw thru other searches that some people said it worked, but needed different lights, and some said it wouldn't, basically experiences all over the board. While looking at pictures of the two different decklids, they appear to actually be the same size, however the lower portion of the C4S version is recessed for the reflector. I am attaching pics so you can can see what I mean.

The rear fenders are different on C4S and Turbo - as are the taillights and their attachment.

I think this can be made to work but could be a lot of time and money.

Have you checked for after market solutions like MA Shaw?

Thanks Loren, I have not looked into MA shaw or any others yet. It was something I was just wondering about. I saw a c4s deck lid for around $250 and thought if it worked it would be a nicely spent $250 :). Thanks again for your help, it's much appreciated
