Well my 05 CTT has been having this very random problem once in awhile. Sometimes when I come to a slow down or complete stop and start going again I notice the car is in Manual mode even though its still in the D position. I have to slap the stick over to Manual then back to Drive. What gives?

Probably (BTDT) you're tapping the Tiptronic buttons on the steering wheel. I kept wondering why this sort of thing would happen.. until I spotted what I was doing. Don't use the spokes of the wheel to turn it..

LOL yeah I never realized the steering wheels Tiptronic button works even when the car isnt in Manual mode. I must be accidentally tapping it and not realizing it since I usually hold the steering wheel with my left hand at the 10 oclock position.
