Sorry if this not the right place to post such topic.

Check this link, i have put a small app called (Pwidget) that you can download/install on your windows pc to decode porsche VINs.

Hey Loren,

Will that VIN Decoder also give options for the vehicle? I used the one thats on the website but it just deciphers the VIN Number and tells me basic info like production year/place and such.

Sorry, that information is not available on those very old VINs. I can tell you that it was a 1968 Porsche 911T, 109 HP (type 901/03) and that it was not a USA/Canada car.

Hi can someone advise a year of manufacture for this 993 Varioram engine number - 64V04730

 

M64.23 - 3.6 liter engine - 286 HP - built 1997.

Regarding your answer Loren, can you advise what the M64.23 code sequence means?

It is just the engine type and submodel. The submodel designates changes to that engine that make it different from the previous model.
