I have a 2004 cayenne turbo with EVO intake, Evom tune, 2nd cat bypass, ipd plenum. I have been dealing with what seems to be timing getting pulled and surging in the mid RPM range. I am not getting any CEL codes and I am trying to narrow down if I am getting a fuel pressure issue or an intake leak. I know in other Porsche models, people will disconnect the MAF's to test if this is the problem. Can I disconnect both my MAF's to see if things smooth out under 1/2 throttle or WOT. Will it just put the vehicle in a safe base tune. I am not sure if having the EVOM tune software would affect this? My idling is fine. I have already changed all of coils and spark plugs. Thanks.

No i did not. Is it safe to unplug the MAF to test them or do you know what the values would be with durametric if I checked it that way.
