:welcome:

Your car must be a model year 2002 since the 3.6 liter engine did not start until then?

Your title says P1702 and the post says P1207. Neither is a valid Porsche fault - what code reader were you using?

I would like to help but the fault codes are not valid.

Thanks for responding ,

P1702

Tiptronic (Supply voltage of valves)

Diagnostic conditions

• Ignition on

Possible cause of fault

♦ The Tiptronic control unit has detected a malfunction.

♦ The fault is diagnosed in the Tiptronic control unit. OBDII relevant

fault codes are sent to the DME control module via the CAN

drive. In the process the Tiptronic fault codes are converted to

P-code!

♦ Fault management and any activation of the Check Engine lamp

is done by the DME control module!

Do you have any wiring daigrams and or control unit positions , ive found the tiptronic ecu but cant find engine ecu ?

Why do you need to find the DME (it is behind the rear seats under window carpet)?

Retrofitted to WHAT! Think about it; the problem wasn't there before your "Retrofit"
