I am having problem with AC system of 04CTT

squeaky noise behind PCM unit even when HVAC system is off

2 vents on passenger side(one on center, one on side) blows cold air when I want warm

Durametric gives the following codes:

2101 servo motor for side blower

1810 drive motor for temperature valve right

710 servo motor for defrost flap

I did some research with servo motors for the HVAC unit, can someone point out which one refers to the one that makes error code 2101?

I could figure out the ones that are responsible for 1810(955 624 908 01) and 710 (955 624 901 01) but if someone can verify for me that will be great.

thanks guys

Did you figure out how to replace the drive motor for temperature valve right? My Durametric is throwing up this error. I can also hear some kind of stepper motor or clicking coming from the dashboard.

I am trying to locate the motor from the parts diagram on the bottom link you attached.

I have had the 2101 & 710 codes on my '06CTTS for a couple of years and everything seems to work fine except that I don't feel like I get much air to the footwells, a little but not much. I also had the Fresh air servo code and that was an easy replacement over by the Fresh air filter, caused fogging when not in Auto. One of these days I'll have to tear into the dash to get to the other two.

Is there a reason these fail like they do?  Has anyone ever grabbed the flaps to see if they are binding in anyway when they are replacing the motors?  I get all sorts of interesting pops from behind the dash.  I'd really like to go in and just replace all the **** motors and be done with it, but I haven't seen a writeup on how to do it.  I know the fresh air flap is easy to get to, but no sure how much of the dash needs to come apart to get at the rest of them.

I actually had the chance to do just want you said, i grabbed the actuator lever and moved it around, and hung onto it when the servo actuated.

The flaps and linkages don't bind (at least in my case).  My best guess is as the servos get gunked up inside from use and constant travel between the same sweep....the internal resistance must change (or something simlar) causing the ecu controlling them to code a fault.  My guess is there is an allowable current limit to the servos....when they exceed the limit, it codes a fault.

So, is it just the lower dash panels that need to be removed, along with possibly the stereo?  Or, does the entire dash need to come out?  I'm really considering just replacing all of them.  I've got 4-zone, and I know the distribution valve in the back is acting up, too.  Won't be cheap, but it's honestly the last issue area on my CTT.
