Wind Deflector in a 996. Noticeable difference?

I had a wind screen in my Boxster. It didn't seem to really deflect that much wind. I'm wondering if the wind deflector for the 996 works better. Share you thoughts, please.

Same. Big diff. My wife won't ride with me w/o the deflector. Worth it.

I'm almost 6'3" with 33" inseems, if that helps.

Wind deflector works better on my 2000 996 if rear windows could be raised with front ones. Experience from wind deflector in 2005 bmw 325 which allows rear windows to be raised and results in less wind hitting you. Wind on 996 is deflected but some comes through sides between top of seats and end of windows. I'm trying to survey our folks to determine if rear windows can be changed to allow them to be raised when top is down. Nevertheless, recommend getting one. Bought mine used.

If you want to raise the rear windows when the top is down, stick your finger into where the front latch hooks and press the micro switch. You can raise the windows while you hold the switch closed. If you do this be careful getting into or out of the car while the windows are up. "You'll shoot your eye out kid"

Yep, wind screen definitely helps, especially if the windows are up. Helps keep the wind off the back of your neck. Wind still blows your hair around. If you can't stand that, dive a coupe. Every time I think about trading the cab. in for a coupe, I get past it in a couple of minutes. Nothing like a little (lot of) fresh air on a cool morning/evening to get things going.
