Someone felt the need to key my car from front to end over the weekend. Really at a loss of what goes through someone's mind these days....

Should I try to get insurance to repair the sides or the car or is there better results in a scratch repair process? Very deep keying.

A good bodyshop can match and feather the color without a total repaint. If the scratch is all the way to a panel edge, paint will need to be feathered into the adjoining panel. Total repaint is pricey from a good place...Probably 4-5K.

Hi mate, sorry to hear of your pain, same thing happened to me last weekend! My car is in getting left side and rear engine cover resprayed. My body's shop is excellent, I've been using them for 15years. Im getting the trunk and boot done as well. I console myself with people that do this sort of thing with they get to be them, I get to be me, imagine how little you must think of yourself to be able to do this to someone else's car? Get it repaired by insurers at a good body shop , move on and enjoy.

Btw, first post, I read your post and wanted to reply due to similarities, I'll introduce myself properly with pics a bit later.

Cheers

My greatest fear is someone doing that to my car. I'm so sorry my friend.. I hope you get it repaired to your liking.. I would go the insurance route and get it done properly. Like you said.. What goes through a "persons" mind that would do that..... Very sad..
