16" 986 wheels on 1999 996 C4

Sorry if this is a daft question but I want to fit 16" wheels from a 986 boxster to my 1999 C4 996.

I want to do this because I want to use narrow winter tyres.

Can anyone tell me if they will fit?

The smallest wheel Porsche recommends (for winter tires) is 17 inch. See the TSB for 996 - Winter Tires and Wheels.

The 996 has large brake rotors than the normal Boxster and I think there maybe fitment issues with smaller wheels.
