2002 Boxster S warning lights

I have a problem with my 2002 Boxster S. When I first turn on the ignition and the warning lights illuminate in the diagnostic mode I get no seatbelt or rear spoiler lights. Removed the cluster and opened hoping to find a bad bulb only to discover that the warning lights are LEDs on the circuit board. On the seat belat issue I have checked under the seats to see if the seat belt wire had been cut or grounded as described in another thread. All appears ok. Disconnected the seats, same problem. (airbag light had to be reset anyway). Any suggestions on how to proceed on either issue?

I have replaced the LEDs with units from an old VW cluster, saved buying a new unit.

With all of the other lights operational is there anything else that would cause either of those two not to work when the ignition is turned on?

Sorry I don't know the path of power for those circuits.

I think you need to put Durametric, a Porsche PST2, or Porsche PIWIS tester on the car and see if you have fault codes.

You could have faults in the seat belt (airbag) circuit and/or the instrument cluster.

I would do that first before spending any money on guesses.

Based on Lorens recommendations I purchased a Durametric tool. Ran a scan and found nothing relating to this. I disconnected the drivers belt connector under the seat and jumped out the pins. The dash light came on indicating a bad NC switch in the belt recepticle. I have since replaced and the problem is solved. Thanks to all.

Did you test ALL the modules? The seatbelt issue should have shown up. Plus as I recall you can even activate the spoiler with the drive links on Durametric.

^{I tested all of the modules, but apparantly the NO circuit with the resisters for the airbag was ok and did not show up as a fault. I dont have seat memory or anything like that in my car and was not able to find any modules with faults relating to the seat belt warning light. The spoiler issue I believe was related to the rear relay panel beacuse I pulled it out to check and after I pushed it back into place the light operated corrrectly.}
