Hi, I got the Tip Red Caption some weeks ago, durametric did not show any codes so I had the transmission fluid and filter replaced. No captions for a while then over the past 2 days they popped up again.

Each was with a different style of driving - 60kph straight road - happened 3 times in sucession. Next day after a 120Km run I slowed to traffic at 30kph and it came on - on the run home sat at 135kph and it came on twice.

Each time there was no loss of performance the tip behaved the same as it always does. There are no signs of slipping or jerking.

The only thought I had is it may have started after the underside was washed with the pressure hose - might be a long shot but it is the only thing I can think of.

I checked both rear tyres - both at 36psi.

Anybody any other thoughts?

Mileage is 160k

Thanks

Simon

I would suspect an intermittent solenoid valve or a bad connection at the main transmission connector (including chassis grounds).

Thanks for the reply, where is the solenoid valve, is it straightforward to troubleshoot / replace?

Does anybody have photos of the connectors or the chassis grounds points?

Thanks

Simon

Not to hard to replace - once you find the intermittent one.

The ground points are under the dash.

The main transmission connector is on the transmission cable - it is large and round.
