My 2005 Cayenne S popped up with a message saying to replace the battery in the key fob, which explains why I struggled to lock it using the remote yesterday. I have now changed the battery but i'm still getting the message saying to replace the battery and the remote is a bit hit and miss.

Any ideas?

I possibility is tht the battery you bought is not good (it happens).

Also, have a look at the TSB here.

It will not list your RoW car but your local dealer/OPC should be able to tell you if your VIN is covered under this TSB.

Be sure the battery contacts are clean, you can use a pencil eraser to scuff them up and clean them.

Hey, @Loren, the link you posted above on July 24, 2012 (where does the time go?) is broken. Any chance I can get a peek at the TSB you referenced?
