Hi All

My front lower plastic lip spoiler (02 996TT) is knackered & needs replacing. Is this an easy DIY job if I order the spoiler ? Looking underneath it looks like its easy - held on with a few clips/nuts etc, but anyone have first hand experience of changing one ?

Cheers

Ro.

If you car is not lowered it should only take a few minutes. Also if the plastic screws are sheared off then you might have to poke and pry them out. Still I think less than 30 minutes.

I think you should buy new fasteners.

I'm pretty sure they won't come with it. Oops.. the TT doesn't use the plastic screws the GT3 and Carrera use, it uses U-clamps. If they don't come with it then order 999 507 751 02 U-clamps.

Thanks Loren

I am ordering the spoiler from an OPC, do you know if the clips come with it or will I need to order them separately ?

Who are you ordering it from, which style and how much? Thanks, Alex

Its the standard Turbo front spoiler, £140 (UK) with PCGB discount, ordered from a local OPC.

They fitted it for free, because they forgot to order it in when I took my car there for fitting. They managed to get one in, but all took longer than expected so I had a bit of a winge & they agreed free fitting......from the sounds of it its a quick job anyway that they probably charge an hours labour for !
