Hi,

My cayenne doesn't have these, and i'm wondering if it's an easy retrofit item that I could install myself. Anyone done this, or have the part numbers/diagrams?

Cheers

In my opinion it"s an easy DIY, you must replace almost the entire door trim. Whether it is a cheap DIY is another question.

saw some for about 250 each, but panels may have had scratches (removed from wrecked cayenne at a junk yard). seems like an expensive way to get screens in rear windows. for that price, seems like getting a good tint job on all windows would make sense.

I guess it depends on where you live.. my BMW Touring has them on the rear windows.. I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times they've been used on the Touring in 105,000 miles. I suspect with the darker factory tint on the Cayenne rear windows there would be even less reason to use them on the P!G.

I've been considering these as well but I don't think I want to replace the whole door trim. They'd be worth it for me because my son sits in the back and always complains about the sun. I've just got some cheap screen from the dollar store with 2 black suction cups on the window. Not bad, just looks a little lame in a Cayenne GTS...

...issue fixed. Son won't remember it looked lame....and the fix did not cost $500.
