I am replaciong the rear center console (per the B&M instructions) and when I removed the old console, the "key switch" microswitch come out. Now, I do not know where to put this back in. Any advice on where the microswitch goes?

Thanks, sorry for the stupid question, but want to make sure...

Not a stupid question, did the same thing myself. Trying to remember, I believe I unplugged the switch from the wiring and remounted the switch on the console lock then repplugged it as I reassembeled the console. I know it took some futsying around to find the right location for the switch, but if you take your time you can figure out how it needs to be placed.

There are 2 wires with a small connector on the end that plugs into the microwsitch for the lock. The 2 wires and switch are for the alarm. When you lift up on the console to remove it you are supposed to slide your hand under the console when the console is up a few inches and pull the connector out of the switch. We do this by feel because the wires are so short you cannot lift the console up high enough to see what you are doing.

If you just lift up on the console without disconnecting the 2 wires then: (1) you get lucky and the connector pops out, or (2) you can break something if the connector does not let go.

If has been a few years since I played around with the switch when (2) happened, because we forgot to disconnect the connector. Some plastic part broke and we super glued it back together.

Would need to see a picture of what your situation is.
