I've seen responses on how to interpret vin #'s etc and production dates. What I want to know about my car is, what # was it in the sequence? The production date on the sticker is 01-03 for my 2003 c-2 carrera. The engine # on the tag inside the front hood shows M9603-663. Does that mean it was the 663rd. made? Any help would be apppreciated. thanks

"663" designates the engine manufacture year. 663 = MY2003

The digits that follow (full serial number is on your engine) are engine serial number (00501 to 60000).
