I have some running questions

I was hoping you guys can give me some tips and links or pictures to read up on.

My car is a 1999 C2 996 USA with tip

Lately I have noticed at the lower RPM 1k -4K range . The 996 seems slow or low HP ( also take some time to get thru the lower RPM too)

But...at 5K and higher RPM the HP kicks in hard and fast (feels like full power just swithes on)

What would cause this. For some reason i have been thinking maybe a variocam issue .

I have no CEL lights on and no other driving problems. just slow to start off.

I just fully cleaned the MAF sensor and thorttle body along with the Air filter and oil change.

I do all my own wrenching.

Only been messing with air cooled 911 for 18years + .

this is my 1st water pumper and would like to understand them better.

thanks so much

.
