Greetings,

I'm getting a message in my 2007 Targa 4 dash computer that says "Check front left side light" when I turn on my car.

I've visually inspected my lights, and everything seems to be working, so I might not know which bulb to check.

Which bulb is the front left side light on my car?

Thanks for your help

Eric

I have seen the same "Check front left side light" message a few times after washing my car. I'm not sure of the exact problem, but it usually goes away after I tap or jiggle the left side marker, left fog/parking light, and left headlight.

I had my independent shop look into this problem when I took it in for routine service last month, and this is what I learned.

There are two bulbs inside of the indicator light enclosure under the headlight. The front side light is a small bulb inside of the enclosure. It was indeed broken in my car, and replacing it fixed the problem. I didn't see it when I performed my visual inspection as there are multiple bulbs in the enclosure (and it's a little bitty bulb).

I hope this information is helpful to other forum members.

Thank you!  exactly what it was on my 2006 987 boxster.  fits boxster 05-08 and 911 05-13 ymmv

part number is 999-631-033-90

http://www.sunsetporscheparts.com/porsche/911/99963103390  or pelican parts or google/your fav oem parts store

DIY:

1.  remove 2 screws holding light is place, lightly pull (third attachment is a push in).

2.  both the main light and this little small guy twist to come out, careful as the bulb you'll be replacing pulls out of the housing so you don't want to mess up the housing itself, just twist a half turn or so one way or the other and lightly pull.
