Advise for new Tail headlights for Boxster 2001

Hi gang,

I am looking at upgrading my Boxster 2001 tail lights, and while I like the porsche clear lights from >2004 models, they are a bit pricey, and I was looking at e-bay and found the following:

Both from DEPO.

So I have the following questions:

- Is DEPO after market lights good 5quality / reliability) ?

- are both options 100% legal in the US ?

- For a Artic silver Metallic boxster...would you go clear or smoke ?

- Do you know other / better options for less than $300 ?
