996 C2 MY99 M032 suspension.

Which shocks should I use for the rear? Bilstein HD or Sport?

Are the Cabrio and 4wd shcks the same as the C2, are they interchangeable?

Thanks

I would go with the Sport shocks and change all 4 so the car is balanced.

No, the shocks, springs and swaybars are based on the vehicle weight - and each of those are different.

Thanks for your answer.

Do have another question, M032 is HD, right?

M032 is USA normal suspension -- M030 is the lowered Sport suspension.

So I am not sure which shock you choose matters as much as 4 matching ones do.

The rear shocks are the same for a C2 and a C4, the fronts are different. The springs/spring rates are different between coupes and convertibles, and the front springs are different between C2 and C4.

If you decide to replace all four, and not to go with a coil over (I love my PSS10's) you might want to check out the new Koni FSD. They are only available for the C2, but the guys on the 993 forum rave about them.
