Mods (how I purchased):

K24 turbos

Silicon boost hoses (top only)

GIAC stage 3 (reflashed to UMW so I knew the tune and tuner)

TechArt race exhausr (part number 096.310.885.009)

Runs great powerful - just annoyed by the CEL.

Decided to take a radical approach. My Indy had a stock exhaust (near new) cheap and decided to try that to see if it is the cats. Replacing the bank 1 o2 after the cats (already did the one before) and the MAF. Didn't like the drone of the exhaust (but concerned about the power loss) regardless going to se if that gets rid of the CEL and drone. If so I will sell my techart and save for a Europipe Quiet (Kevin at UMW recommends that).

I will let you know if the exhaust change fixes it.

Thanks for all the help and feedback!

Funny you say that. It was repaired off the car but while the exhausr was being changes he noticed another small hole in the header which is being welded. Simi_996 is probably right! Additionally bank 2 after car o2 sensor had some stripped wires and was replaced.

Anyway hope to get it back Monday with an update!

No CEL!

Seems the last crack found in the header took care of the p1145 and the stock exhaust's cats took care of the p0430 - now if I could only find the 60 HP that seems to have been lost :).

Don't miss the drone, don't miss the CEL, do miss the power. :)

Final update on this - I had forgotten this topic.  The MAF that I had replaced was obviously not the correct MAF.  I purchased one from Pelican Parts and all issues were solved and all HP was there.

You know I sold this car; my little girl got bigger and I'm now in a Panamera Turbo - but boy do I miss the 996tt.  Was a monster car.  One day when my little one is too big I hope to return to the 911 platform.  Not rushing that though -- my daughter is already growing up too quickly...

I hope this helps someone!
