Hello Board,

I'm new to Porsche ownership but loyal as the day is long to the brand. I found my 996 at an affordable price after driving the wheels off an AC Schnitzer modified E36 M3.

I've been in this beauty for two days and have since recieved grief from my ex wife, kids and three other a-holes without justfication. Friends blame my new car. I need a sign that reads "working stiff... still"

I wanted to post a big Hello and Thank You for the information that I have reviewed and saved for future use... DIY should be my alias initials as I will attempt to fix almost anything except an IMS failure.

I will keep looking past the purist who hate our headlights and thank Porsche for producing what seems "so far" as a dependable and now affordable 911. I hope after many years of being a proud BMW owner that I will cherish my new "Silver Bullet"

Thanks,

Mike

Congrats MIke and welcome to the forum. As a DIY'er, you will find the info very helpful (especially if you become a contributing member; Loren does a great job!)

Enjoy the car and drive it hard and often.

Beautiful car. :jump: ... I guess some people are just "haters" when it comes to Porsches. Enjoy your new toy.. Who cares what they think. Keep it super clean. That makes people even madder...

:welcome:
