Cayenne driver side door lock problem

I need to pull the handle a few times before I can open the door no matter the internal or external handle. (internal handle : 5 times, external handle : 3 times)

supposedly it should be just two times I need to pull the handle in order to open the door.

Locking/unlocking is working fine.

it is probably due to wearing of some parts. but which parts?

Any relevant info would be much appreciated !

If the door is locked the inner door released must be pulled twice to open the door, are you saying with an unlocked door you must pull the inner/outer handle multiple times to open it?

If not an alignment issue then the door latch mechanism is very dirty or worn.

what parts should I be replacing? the lock? or the handle/latch?

I think you have a fault with the door latch mechanism.
