Hi - The boxster baterry drians after 3-4 days if not used, changed with a new battery and also check carried out on althernator is showing no fault. . I have taken out the radio fuse in case that was at fault- but still battery drians,,

Any ideas please?

nope - checked - it has been heppening for a while now and initially thought it was a bad battery so installed a new one.. few days later - same problem. Something is draining it - but can't fine what..

My 996 C4S 2003 was a hound for power. It went off remote key function after three days, as from the manual, to save power. Stressful stuff when you are on the airport, trigging the alarm etc. struggling to get in.

My 2010 Targa 4S has nothing like this. Fresh and sharp after a fourthnight alone. Something is very strange with the electrics in the 996 series.

Check the amp draw with the car off =- it should be 40-60 ma.

If it is higher pull fuses one at a time to narrow it down to what circuit has the draw.

Just wondering if you ever solved the battery drain issue. I had a similar problem and found it was because I parked the car in the garage and always left the keys in the ignition. (turned off of course) Once I pulled the keys out, the battery drain stopped.
