I'm getting wind noise from my driver's door up in the corner and realize there is a TSB on it, but at 108k mi the door no longer shuts with a satisfying solid THUMP. It needs new seals I'd think. Inner, outer, both, more than that? Anyone do this yet?

You can try to revitalize the seals using silicone spray and be sure the door hinges are not worn. Are you sure the door alignment is correct?

Drivers door seems like its slightly misaligned. If you gently shut it it doesn't really do much....the air noise while on the highway is bothersome. I'm pretty sure the seals have had it.

If it's misaligned new seals aren't going to help the issue. Have a body shop find the cause of the alignment issue and fix the issue.

Thanks Loren. There is an 06 Turbo S here in town I like, not sure if they will trade my 04 in on it, but it's nice. I kinda want it. Do the 06s handle any better than an 04?

I do need to address these doors though.

I don't think there is any suspension differences between the 04-06 so handling should be the same.

Some of the 06 Turbo S differences over a 04 Turbo which would impact on handling would include the following:

Reinforced spring struts,

larger brake discs and brake calipers,

reinforced tie rods as well as improved improved rubber mounting on the control arms,

new level control unit.

On a track you might notice the difference but very much doubt it on the street.
