First off thank everyone in advance for any help the is offered!

I purchased this 02 911 turbo 6speed about 3 weeks ago and it has apparently been driving fine. I would be driving very leisurely going from 2nd to 3rd and I would put it into 3rd gear, but then the rpms would raise up because the gear is not engaged. At first I thought it was because I didn't put the shifter all the way into 3rd and a couple times after I shifted to 3rd and released the clutch it would touch the gear and make a light grinding sound as the Rpms would go up being the gear is not engaged. THIS only happens in 3rd gear. Tonight I was running a boosted IS 300 and when I went into 3rd There was a grind and "no gear". I had to put it back to neutral then back into 3rd.

I do not power shift and beat on the tranny ESPECIALLY being I am getting use to the car. I purposely shift slower as I get use to the vehicle.

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated in getting this resolved in the most cost effective method as possible.

Thanks

Bobby Ali
