The new tail lights look great. As I understand it, there is only one rear fog light. In the US, it is on the driver's side. When I changed my tail lights, there was no bulb in the stock fog light socket on the passenger side.

Ah thanks 1dmurray that makes sense, I wont worry then! Lights really look amazing. I've decided to update the front headlamps and all other external lighting (number plates) with LED's. Ill post some pictures once I have them installed.

What did you do with the Parking light right next to the Litronic headlight? It is a bayonet H6W bulb. Did you find a suitable LED bulb with a bayonet base to replace it? How about any worries that LEDs do not like heat very much, such as coming from the Litronics? Thanks!

Just an update to my post on the dectane rears. I've now also installed front LED headlights bought from Design911.com.

Will post pictures once I have taken some. The install was not easy however, unlike the normal plug and play units from porsche, the LED units from Design 911 while appearing to be identical in size actually had slight variances in size around the plug / interface at the back of the unit that slots into the car. It took quite some fiddling to get them installed and at one point almost gave up to take them to my local specialist to try installing.

They look fantastic now they are installing and working however I would give a couple warning with them:

1) They were very tricky to install! Fit and finnish while good was not up to the Porsche standards and I also seem to get a little wind noise from them at high speed unlike the original lights.

2) This is a big point, the porsche units have adjustment holes you can configure using an allan key, so you can get the level and alignment of the lights correct for the road. The units I bought from design 911 do not have any adjustment ports and so once installed you cannot manually configure the level and alignment of the lights.

Had I know how tricky they light install was going to be and that there was no level / direction adjustments for the units I might actually have tried finding an alternative set of replacement lamps.

Pictures to come shortly.

Turbo and 4S lights are different from the lights for a narrow body. So far the only vendor I've found is Delreycustoms.com--they sell the Spyder brand in 3 different

styles but they are $835 including a needed harness. Anyone found a cheaper source?

I do not mean to bring this up from the grave but I purchased the ebay tail lights and they look great and work great except for my passenger side parking light. It comes on but is is very faint. I know people spoke about a resistor. Where do I purchase this resistor and how do I install it? I have been googling all night and this is the closest I've found to an answer.

Thank you

The resister is typically added to aftermarket LED turn-signal lights to increase the load in order to avoid "hyper-flashing" when the LED blinks too quickly.

If you have a dim parking light, then adding the resister is unlikely to rectify the problem.
