What to look for when buying a used 997

I'm currently looking for a 05-06 C2S.

Is there anything that you would recommend that I look for, know issues if you will?

If you do a search you should find a lot of threads on this. Here are a couple things.... Stay away from 05's' Go 06 and newer. 06 + had the upgraded IMS. Make sure you get the sport seats, Sport Chrono, thicker steering wheel, PSE (Porsche sport exhaust.) and get the premium Bose sound (which sucks but it's as good as Porsche gets.) Also try to get a CPO car from a dealer. Warranties rock on these cars. There are a LOT of 06's out there. Make sure you look at a lot of them and get the exact color combination and options you want. The 991's will hit the showrooms soon. Dealers will have extra impudus to move the older 997's.

Good luck! Make sure to look at the C4S too! They may hold their value better..

Thanks! That seems to be what I am finding when I did a search. 2006 or newer. It's amazing that a $95,000 car with 20,000 can now be picked up for half.

Yes it is.. Same goes for the Turbo. It can be picked up for half as well. Let us know what your finding out there.. :king:
