Antifreeze

Reading a post on another forum about compatible antifreeze got me thinking. I have a strong feeling that the PO may have put up to a half gallon of Peak (premixed) into my MY '99 996.

Where can I find a list of compatible antifreeze's? And I assume this is not compatible, I should immediately flush? Is there a DIY for changing the coolant? I didn't see one on a quick search.

There are a several types of Peak anti freeze. Some are compatible and some are not. If you are uncertain, certainly flush and replace the system or have it done for you.

This is why it's best to add distilled water to top off when the system is a little low, that way there's no question about compatibility. Of course if you are adding GALLONS of distilled water to top off and frequently that is not good.
