Hi, I'm new to the forum - I just picked up my Cayman S yesterday, but have a question on upgrading the Sat Nav system to the 2009 version as it currently has the 2005 software. Having read as much as possible on this, it seems that if this is not done correctly it can cause some significant problems!

I have 2 CD's and 1 DVD. From what I understand I need to load up CD2 in the PCM unit first (to upgrade the map software and Bose system?), then CD1 (updates PCM from version A to B?) and then the Nav DVD. Is this the case? Also do I leave in the current 2005 Nav disc whilst running the updated from CD2 & CD1?

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find an example where the software versions matched mine and having read some quite worrying posts about bricking the unit, I thought it would be better to ask first.

My car is a 2006 Cayman S and the PCM software is as below.

Thanks in advance from your assistance!

The PCM version is 05024xxx, so is already at Level B. You only need the Level C update applying, by inserting the update CD into the navigation drive. If you don't have it, drop me a PM with your email address.

Edit: the part number of the Level C update disk is 000.044.901.40.
