987 18" wheels on a 986?

will the new 987 18" wheels work with the 986?

I sent an email over to wheelenhancement.com for a possible trade in on my 2000 Boxster S wheels. I'll post their reply.

Does anyone know these wheels? They look very sharp even without the side skirting.

I asked my local dealer about this, and was advised that the 987 wheels should not be fitted to 986 series cars.

Thats not to say they cant fit or wont fit, just that Porsche specifically documented that they shouldnt be fitted. Apparently the hubs are different on the 987 from the 986..
