Welcome to RennTech :welcomeani:

Porsche released an updated oil pump pressure regulating spring and pressure to address this for about $20, plus you can always check the accuracy of the dash display by temporarily connecting a known mechanical gauge; the dash display is not known for its accuracy.

Just to make sure.

1- that's means its not a real issue. the dash indicate wrong information but probably the real pressure is good? ( but i could double check with test pressure). just make sure i could continue to drive 😉

2- the red light low oil pressure in dashboard  is directly linked with the arrow? that s appears only on idle when 0 bar showed (temperature more 180 and on idle). so this one also is wrong information (potentially)

so, i will go to fix it, but want to make sure i could continue to ride

thanks

1. Did not say that.  I said you needed to verify if the readings were correct or not.  The dash display is known to be questionable, but only testing will tell you by how much.

2. Both the gauge and red warning light are controlled by the oil pressure sending unit, and the condition of both would be verified or denied by the test is step #1.

  • Thanks 1
