idles but no accelaration

hy my name is tony new here, have my 2003 boxter ,starts very fine but no accelaration like no gaz pedal at all,got a engine code p1266,it says dme needs to be replaced,so before i take it to the dealer ,is there any body ho experienced this kine of problem.any help will be much upreciated.

Several years back, there were reports of the same code and conditions (not throttle) in cars still under warranty, which was traced to software issues in the DME. While some DME's were replaced, Porsche supposedly came up with a DME re-flash that cured the issue. Before jumping for a new DME, contact PCNA ands see if your car can be re-flashed, which has to be one Hell of a lot cheaper............
