I went to my mechanic today and he had a problem cause he doesn't have a tool that will fit in the tiny hole to fill up the transmission after its been drained. Does anyone know where I can get such a thing? I need to get this done asap. anyone who can lead me to this info thanks.

Yes, it can pump any reasonable viscosity fluid, like ATF, and it comes with the shutoff valve, tygon tubing lines, and the curved end piece to fit into the bottom of the trans. If you read the other poster's write up, you will see basically the same stuff that he fabricated to do the job. You can locate and assemble all the bits your self, or buy one ready to go.

You could, but then you would have to thoroughly clean out the bleeder before you could use it with hydraulic fluids (brake fluid) again. Hydraulic fluid and ATF/gear oil should never be mixed as it will lead to all sorts of problems. Their "fill" unit also has a schrader valve on it which the brake unit does not, which allows you to pressure up the fill unit with the shop's compressed air line, making it even easier to use. It is up to you, but I prefer to have one for bleeding brakes and clutches, another for filling transmissions and differentials. If you go in the direction of using one for both, I’d suggest looking into Motive’s quick disconnecting fittings, which allow you to switch adaptors and hoses in seconds (we have six or seven different adaptors for brakes alone). The quick disconnect are listed in their “spares” section, are cheap and very well made. We have them on all our Motive equipment.

Quick question, with the process of refilling the transmission fluid. The drain plug has a hole in it do I have to keep the plug in place and put the hose through that little hole on it or can I remove the plug and put the hose directly in there and fill the transmission fluid? I am a bit confused on that step. My mechanic is telling me that the drain plug has to be in place in the transmission and then the he has to get a special tool to put in the hole on the drain plug which pushes in and is able to fill the transmission. Can someone shady some light on this?

OK, the no end of confusion with the Tip refill stems from the fact that there are two apparent drain plugs on the bottom of the pan. One (usually slightly smaller in size)is acutually the drain, the other is the fill port. The fill port has a riser tube mounted in it that extends upwards into the trans a bit so that as your refill it, the fluid does not come back out until it reaches the top of the tube.

The factory refill setup has a flexible plastic end on it that is bent into an inverted "J" shape, so that the tool can be inserted up into the tube and then pops over the top edge so that the new fluid is flowing downwards towards the pan.
