Hi, since last year, when going at the track, a very annoying noise occurs when cornering.

Here are two clips in which you can hear that sound

-The car is a 2002 996 Carrera C2S Targa, tires 245/35/18 front and 315/30/18 rear.

-It seems to happen in any gear (2 to 4), and especially exiting corners.

-Seems to be independant of engine RPM

-I can reproduce the sound in a parking lot in first gear.

-The sound seems to come from behind the car, in the engine bay area.

-I tried removing the ABS fuse, thinking it might be the culprit, but the noise is still there.

At first, I though it could be the Quaffe LSD, which I installed in the previous winter. But I tried removing it and theres no sign of wear, and nothing is in the oil.

Is it possible this type of helical LSD could make this noise ?

Here's is the link http://www.amsperfor...al-6-Speed.html

Could worn suspension/engine/transmission bushings cause that sound?

If anyone have suggestions on what would be the cause of this noise, let me know & thanks in advance!

The car seems to have it under load, i would still suspect the differential. Quaffe products are indeed not the quietest, take contact with the company and let them hear the audio recording.
