I have a 2005 997 Carrera manual trans. The throttle peddle suddenly stops working occasionally when starting off or even driving down the road. When it happens, I have to take my foot of the peddle a reapply gas and it takes off again.

No codes are coming up. I bought and replaced the gas peddle and it's still doing it. I did take it to the dealer and it did it to them while test driving it. I hate to dumb money into it trying all kinds of fixes. Has anyone had the same issue?

I have a 2005 and have the sane problem, as well. Inititally had the throttle control module replaced (drive by wire) which solved the problem for a short while. Problem has since recurred and is at the shop as we speak. The problem is that no faults are triggered, and unless its on the PIWIS running when the problem happens, it seems difficult to diagnose

Any update on the success, or failure, of the throttle body replacement ? You got me hooked on the story line here and now I've got to now how it all tured out.

The plot thickens. My dead pedal issue has started up again after going away for weeks with replacement of a new throttle body. Now I am wondering if there is a sensor issue too at the pedal. Any ideas?

Just to follow up on my original post. I had the throttle issue reappear, found out the speed sensor located on the front left wheel was bad. Replaced the sensor and the throttle  issue has not returned.

my issue was "going into 30% throttle mode" so i flipped a coin and replaced my TB first.  wrong.  problem disappeared after i changed the pedal too.  there are potentiometers in both and it was the one in my pedal that was (evidently) bad.
