Just wondering. Obviously we have a bunch of fans for cooling purposes and then there is the fan that pushes air into the engine compartment. What is the proposed cycle for this fan? Is is supposed to be on at all times, or when the engine is warmed up or when the engine is "hotter" than X degrees?? Is it supposed to be working in conjunction with the radiator fans in the front of the car or what??

If you would like some precision about that, the ecu will monitor the fan for 40 minutes after you leave the car and keep the temperature of the engine compartment below 172F or 78C .

Thanks Loren, great insight there. I was anticipating something like that because a turbo / exhaust system creates a lot of heat in minutes from when the engine is started and if the engine was hot to start off with .. WOW .. It's cookin' !!

If you have been running a Turbo hard it is best to let it idle 2-5 minutes to let the turbos cool down before turning it off.
