It was sold there in 04 and CPOd there and sold again upon trade-in at 65k mi. It made its way to Dallas from Tyson's Corner, VA where my service records pick up from that mileage, and are current. I called HBL Porsche to obtain the records from their service department ysterday and I was asked for my VIN. I was also told that I would have to be in "The Porsche Database" for their service records to be released to me. Someone named Barbara would call me or just fax me the records if above requirement was met. OK I said. Nothing yet.

My dealer here has seen the car, if that gets me in the club, otherwise, WTF are they referring to?

In some states in the US dealers are reluctant to give 2nd, 3rd (etc.) owners records as those sometimes contain previous owners names and addresses. I think it is a legal liability issue.

BTW... I got a phone call from a guy that bought my 1976 911S from a 3rd party 7 years after I sold it. I have no idea how he got my name and phone number.
