A month or so ago I replaced my track pads with OEM's to get through the winter. All went well but about a week ago the Break Wear Sensor light came on. I just pulled all 4 wheels and all appears OK. I am pretty sure I have the original, 12 year old, sensors and that they are the issue.

While reading the forums on this topic, I saw where some folks that track their cars frequently "jumper" the sensor so as to not use it and keep the light off. I understand the concept but I am not sure exactly how to do this. Can someone write a brief description?

Thanks!

Jumpering:

Follow the sensor wire to the connector behind the brake disc.

Disconnect the wire from the plug.

Cut through the sheath and 2 wires inside a few inches out from the plug. Join the two wires together (solder) and seal from the elements.

Plug your spliced wire back in to the connector.

Done.

Thanks. That is what I thought. . . Just wanted to be sure.
