Anyone know if there is a way to adjust the auto-on-headlight sensitivity? Mine is now turning on in the middle of the day when it's overcast..

Anyone know which sensor it's using (the one on the back of the mirror, or the one on the dash, or ??) I do have a Durametric so I guess it might be worth hooking it up and seeing if something odd is going on..

I seem to recall some settings in PIWIS to read out the value and test the light sensor.

Their may also be an adjustment - if not then you likely need a new sensor.

Interesting... mine's having the opposite problem. It waits longer than I'd like before turning on the headlights. Sometimes I turn them on manually.

I actually want to set it up to be always on when the switch is in the AUTO position (law over here). anybody know how to do it? I've been playing with durametric today, but did not see it anywhere... or, optionally, which sensor should I just duct tape over? :D

There is a daylight-running-light option in the PCM car settings menu (if you have a PCM..)

huh? I gotta check, but I'm either blind or EU version of PCM does not have this option... tried to cover the dash sensor btw and nothing :(

I think deilenberger means the PCM itself has a daylight and nighttime setting -- but this does not impact your vehicle headlight settings in any way.

This, attached, of the setting is from the PCM 2.1 manual. (I have an '04 Cayenne S):

No.. that's not what I meant. I thought that under car settings (using the central screen on the instrument panel) there was an option to enable DLR's. There isn't (went and looked..) My bad. I think this can be set with the DuraMetric pro version, not sure about the enthusiast version. I'm sure the dealer could turn it on with PWIS.
