I have the Bose radio in my car and was told i could hook an ipod up to it under the hood? Is this true and if so how do you do it? Do you have to purchase any additional parts or wires? I really miss my ipod tunes!!! My car has a single disc cd player. Thanks for the Help!!! :help:

Becker made the radios and Bose was one of three speaker/amp combinations.

If your car is MY03 or newer then you have the MOST (fiber optic) system.

Do a search here and you will find solutions for MOST based cars.

right, lots of stuff on this. you can take the CD23 radio out, send it to Becker, and they will put a jack in the back of the radio. Shipping cost and about a 100 or so I believe. check out the numerous posts with lots of pictures about this possibility. One of my favorites concerned how to put your ipod connector into the back of the storage shelf above the console. another way, much cheaper, is to get an fm transmitter that plugs into the lighter and holds your ipod and sends a signal to a vacant fm frequency. works ok for audio books... Belkin makes a pretty good one. Of course the problem is then figuring how to plug other stuff, like your V1, and GPS, and phone into the lighter at the same time. oh well....

if you have cdr-220 , get a cable from ebay and switch you aux on. thats only for aux or 3.5mm headphone jack. you can do the same for ipod specific cable, but its more money and it wont charge and radio wont allow you to control your songs anyway, so basically waste of money. if you have the cdr-23, yes, you have to send it out , as it doesnt have the output on the radio for aux, and they have to reprogram it or something .
