Loren,

Great site by the way.

I recently tore part of my Carrera badge when washing the car. I know the dealership will carry these in stock.

Just wondering if the 2002 badge is a different part number from the ones use from 99-2001. MY02 and forward sit on a different part of the lid.

The part number for the MY99-01 C2 was replaced by the MY02 version. That is, if you order the old part number they are supposed to give you the new one. The newer (MY02-) version is part number: 996 559 237 09 70C.

The 70 C indicated rally-black which was used on all C2's -- C4's got a Silver logo (996 559 237 07 4PU) which some folks think looks better on dark colored cars.

The location on the rear deck lid also changed. Let me know if you need exact dimensions.

Loren,

Thanks for the part number. This is great in case any of the dealers still carry old stock, which is what I'm afraid of. The "C" on my last badge wasn't adhereing properly to the deck lid.

For my reference what's the location dimension on an 02?

Loren,

Do you have the logo position for 1999 C2 models? I just broke my Carrera logo yesterday while washing the car and have a new one on order. Also, is there a trick to getting the glue that holds the logo off of the car? I know about using dental floss to get the logo off of the car... just need ideas for getting the glue off.

Thank you.

Jeff

Do you have the dimesion for a 1988 Carrera w/whale tail. Thanks!!!

Chuck

Sorry, I don't find anything in the 1988 service manual.

Over the years the logos have pretty much been centered similar to above.
