I have a 2006 Cayenne Turbo which was manufactured with a reversing camera from Kuhnke. The camera flips out as it always has done but does not send any images. I unclipped the panel today and found that the camera is a sealed unit made Kuhnke and i have been trying to source a replacement for the last 2 hours on the web and cant find one....Can anyone help????

Thanks for the replies, I am 99% sure its the camera but it is pretty difficult to test properly. The reason I am sure is that the control module for the PCM has been replaced due to water ingress and I have upgraded to digital tv. The car is mainly driven by my wife and she has not had the camera for quite some time so I thought I better try and do something about it. Might try the Kuhnke route by I fear this was a one of project for this. If all else fails I will go thru my PMD.....

most likely the wires are broken somewhere. try to send a/v signal into PCM and see if it shows anything (camcorder or dvd player will do)

Talked to Kuhnke and they won't sell it separately. Mine says TNR614 on it and Porsche # 7L5.959.775 but when I look it up the part # is 955 645 290 00 which is about $1550.

are you sure it is camera problem? If you connect another video source is it displaid on PCM (make sure trunk is closed when testing)? if you see nothing with another video source you have wires broken somewhere. alternatively connect your flip out camera to 12 v and see if it shows imagen if connected to a tv.

p.s. control module has nothing to do with video signal. all it does it opens and closes the camera.

My 2006 Turbo cam motor has failed. Local Euro shop has worked on it twice. This last time they said it is freezing up getting hot, they can't get it to pop out again. Camera works just not the pop out motor. Can anyone recommend a fix or replacement without me spending $1500 on the entire cam and motor set?

Apparently the mechanism is prone to dirt ingress especially if a grease was used which got dirt in it and makes gummy sticky mess.

Try some electrical cleaner around the mechanism and see if it runs freely. If that works then apply a little silicon spray grease to keep it smooth.

If the motor windings are causing the heat you may be out of luck and looking for a second hand spare.
