Total Approx. Time to Replace Radiator?

Quick question, tried to get a definitive answer from the threads but wasn't really sure. My '02 4S has suffered from a minor coolant leak the entire time I've owned it, finally tracked it down to the front left rad, took it into dealer and they agreed it needed replacing. I'm not quite as adept at car repairs as you pros out there so I am having the indy do the job for me. The dealer is quoting me 5 hours of labor to remove the front bumper and replace the radiator. I trust my indy to do the job, but I haven't gotten a chance to ask him how long it will take yet. Somehow, it doesn't seem like a 5 hour job. Is the dealership stealershipping me or is 5 hours about right?

Porsche Book Time is 240 time unit units -- so that would be 2 hours 20 minutes.

Porsche Book Time is usually pretty generous so I would look for a 3rd party Porsche repair shop since the dealer wants to charge you more than double book time.

Unfortunately dealer often = stealer. It is one thing to charge the rates that many dealers do, but to double the time is crazy. The system will have to be flushed of air but that is only 30 minutes or so.

100 Time Units is one hour. So 1 TU is 0.6 minutes, or 36 seconds.

So in the example above the exact TU to hours and minutes is 1 hour 24 minutes. I rounded down since their times are always adjusted (padded) for novice techs.

What do you feel is reasonable labor - wise to install a center radiator and and clean out the dirt and stuff from the left and right ones? I have to get it done and plan to use an indy I haven't used before that hosted a PCA event last weekend. Thanks in advance.

I guess it depends on how far you want to go with the cleaning. If you clean and straighten fin by fin depending on how bad they are you could be looking at far cheaper to just plunk down $250 ish IIRC for a new radiator (per side).
