Pretty much the same as the earlier models - http://www.renntech....-filter-change/

Two paper cartridges (item 3)

Thank you for that. Do you know the best method of cleaning the filters themselves?

would it be using water, highpressure air or a combination? also is there a spray to use on the filters once you fit them back on or anything like that?

It is best to replace the filters.

Oil based filters like the K&N tend to play havoc with the MAF - through oil contamination.

To my surprise the air filter was clean even though i work in a cement plant with lots of fine dust which gets thrown up in front of the air intake. Regarding the oil contamination and MAF problems, i know and agree. Here is a link to something i wrote up a while back regarding cleaning MAF in case anyone is interested, it was for a VW Golf but can be applied to any vehicle http://00626e1.netso..._flow_meter.htm

Out of curiosity, does the 2011 Cayenne have an option for an air-intake extension as on the Cayenne transsyberia? like on image below? or is that extension for exhaust??

Not the Snorkel kit but for the older Cayenne's (V8's) Porsche had a heavy duty filter option with a foam pre-filter that could be cleaned in order to extend the life of the paper element filters.

Correct option I1L2

I believe the filter and housing were different.
