Hi all

I am due delivery of a 997 cabriolet in April ( in England ) and have to decide soon on final specs.

I am debating as to whether the Bose upgrade ( £750 / $ 1300) is really worth the cost especially in a cabriolet given that the standard UK car comes with an upgraded sound system compared with the 996 cab standard.

I am not sure if the Bose system is standard on the USA 997

I was reasonably happy with my facelift cab with the basic sound system. More keen to listen to the engine than the radio but on long trips my wife likes music!

Can anybody advise.

Thanks in advance

I'd recommend you get the Bose. It'll be cost prohibitive to go aftermarket upgrade w MOST wiring if you determine you'll want something better than your HIFI system.

Thanks but with the roof down is it possible to tell the difference. Is it the law of diminishing returns.

how often do you put the roof down? btw, you'll need the extra oomph when the top is down to hear the music. the bose is one of the nicest stock stereo i have heard, it is a surprisingly good the more you listen to it.
